Palo Alto Hills is surrounded by a number of sprawling open space preserves, which extend across the captivating landscape of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
The 3,137-acre Russian Ridge Preserve features lush rolling grasslands, numerous springs, and miles of forest. This preserve is particularly beautiful in spring when many wildflowers bloom.
The diverse habitat of Pearson-Arastradero Preserve takes in rolling grasslands, evergreen forests, and a fishing lake. This preserve also boasts more than 10 miles of trails for hiking, bicycling, and horseback riding.
More than 15 miles of trails run through the grasslands and alongside the creeks of the 3,463-acre Monte Bello Open Space Preserve. The preserve’s Black Mountain peak offers amazing views over the Santa Clara Valley and the Mount Hamilton range.
Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club offers members access to a magical 18-hole golf course plus state-of-the-art fitness facilities, an outdoor swimming pool, and three tennis courts. The club is a major social space for the Palo Alto Hills neighborhood with regular events, including a much-anticipated Annual Holiday Party.
