Rossotti’s Alpine Inn is a historic roadside restaurant and beer garden located just north of the Los Trancos Area on Alpine Road. This rustic eatery has been a fixture in Portola Valley since 1852, making it the second oldest continuously operating tavern in California. Visitors to the Alpine Inn can enjoy gourmet grass-fed Angus burgers and a wide choice of craft beers, wines, and cocktails at outdoor tables overlooking the Los Trancos Creek.
Roberts Market is another longtime fixture on Alpine Road, offering an upscale selection of specialty groceries, fresh produce, flowers, wines, spirits, and deli items.
In Portola Valley’s Hidden Valley Family Farm neighborhood, Parkside Grille serves oak oven pizzas and elevated Californian comfort cuisine prepared with high-quality locally sourced ingredients.
Homes in the Los Trancos Area are a short drive away from many more dining choices in the Ladera neighborhood of Central Portola Valley. Amigos Grill is a standout here for authentic Mexican cuisine paired with a fine selection of margaritas and tequilas. Portola Kitchen serves sophisticated Italian entrees alongside thin-crust pizzas and housemade pasta.
Other businesses at the Ladera Country Shopper shopping center include Old Port Lobster Shack for mouth-watering fresh seafood and Bianchini’s Market for groceries and delicious ready-to-eat deli items.
